Frequently asked questions
We're here to help! Here are the most frequently asked questions but if you have something else in mind, just send us an email at hello@theolddutchinn.com. We will get back to you as soon as possible!
Where do we park?
Guests are welcome to park anywhere along Broad Street (aka route 9) or on public streets in the general Village area which are always free and unmonitored. The exception to this is during the months of May through October, parking on Friday nights in the Village Green is restricted in order to accommodate the seasonal farmers market on Saturday mornings. Parking directly in front of the hotel is always allowed.
Is there an EV charger nearby?
Yes. The municipal parking lot located across the street from the inn offers a Level 1 EV charger.
Do you allow dogs?
Unfortunately, we do not. Thank you for understanding the many considerations that go into decisions such as this one. We love dogs personally- our own is named Rembrandt- but our building wasn't built to handle them with grace and the lost revenue associated with deep cleaning rooms after a dog visit is not feasible.
Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilites Act are always welcomed. Service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times unless the service they are trained to provide requires being off-leash.
Do you allow children?
Absolutely! We have 3 of our own and we want to support other families who travel. However, please be aware that our old building is not sound proof so if your children love to throw 2am "parties" this might not be the best location for them. Thank you for considering the needs of all guests when planning your travels.
Is there a restaurant on site?
Unfortunately, we do not have a food and beverage license so we can not provide food service. Guests are welcome to bring meals in and enjoy them at our communal table. We also LOVE to help with dinner reservations so feel free to ask!
On-demand coffee, tea and hot chocolate (Keurig style) is always available.
Do you offer bicycle storage?
Yes! That said, we have a limited amount of indoor bike storage so please notify us ahead of time if you will be needing this amenity.
We also have Empire State Trail maps available and select bike tools are always on site. Need something special? Let us know ahead of time and we'll see what we can do.
The closest bike shop to the inn is OK Spoke, located about 1/4 mile north on route 9. OK Spoke offers repairs and rentals.
